Skywalker came to join us at Hollybrooke in 2019 at the age of eighteen as an out cross for our mares. He had run on the forest for twelve seasons between 2003 and 2018 siring over three hundred foals including the stallion Oke Dene President. At the Breed Show he won both his class, multiple first class premiums as well as the trophy for the best foals sired on the forest. He is a lovely big pony (145cm/ 14.1hh) with plenty of bone and the most delightful temperament. Considering that he has had a minimal amount of handling he has been the most wonderful kind pony to handle since his arrival. He runs with his mares and we are thrilled with his progeny. They have without exception, been quiet, kind and adaptable.
His daughter Hollybrooke Favour has been lightly shown and has always been first or second in her class. She was reserve New Forest champion at the Elite Bath and West Show. Another daughter Hollybrooke Skylight has been sold and broken by her new owner who said ' I think I need to ask you if she is really just four years old as she has just been the easiest pony to produce. We think she has been here before!'
His daughter Mockbeggar Rosey, owned Jenny Tillyer, bred by the late Raymond Bennett and ridden by Sophie Green was placed third in the Breed Society's performance competition. In doing so she also won the trophy for the most versatile pony and the trophy for the best Forest bred pony. Another Mockbeggar pony by Skywalker Mockbeggar Sunny Jim deputised for Father Christmas with his young rider. We look forward to the Hollybrooke ponies by Skywalker being old enough to compete under saddle.
