What a very difficult year it has been for everyone and how strange to be writing a review when our own ponies have not done anything or been anywhere..
We did breed three super foals. Two by Hollybrooke Tinker, the other our first foal by Skywalker. The two colts will be leaving us shortly for lovely new homes. The filly by Skywalker, will be staying with us.
The foals at 1 week old
The foals at 4 months old
The only thing we have done is to break in our wonderful mare Hollybrooke Melitta age 11!! She couldn't visit her chosen husband because of the virus and in order to curb her ever expanding waist line we thought it would be a good idea. She took to it (as she has everything else in her life) with a smile on her face and within a very short time I was hacking her out. She is an amazing ride and her wonderful walk which has won her so many championships makes her quite an exceptional ride. You never know she might even do a show under saddle next year.
We have at least three mares in foal for 2021 including our champion mare Hollybrooke Grace who is expecting her first foal by Skywalker in early March. We hope that everyone stays safe in this very difficult winter and hope that next year we will be able to do more with our Hollybrooke ponies.
While our own ponies have not been out, others we have bred have been competing or just practicing their skills ready for next year so here is a gallery of some things they have been doing. We hope you enjoy it.
